The following exerpt is taken from Barnsley Gardens At Woodlands The Illustrious Dream by Clent Coker. "Since the early 1950's, Clent Coker has spent much of his life collecting and preserving the Barnsley history and artifacts. He is a direct descendant of two of Godfrey Barnsley's early associates in the Georgia up-country and is the Barnsley Historian and Founding Director of the museum at Barnsley Gardens".
