1832 Cass, Cobb, Floyd, Forsyth, Gilmer, Murray and Union were all formed from Cherokee
1832 Paulding  was formed from Cherokee and Carroll
1838 Chattooga formed from Floyd and Walker
1850 Gordon formed from Cass and Floyd
1851 Polk formed from Paulding
1856 Haralson formed from Carroll and Polk
1857 Milton formed from Cobb, Cherokee and Forsyth
1861 Cass name changed to Bartow
