We were very sorry indeed to hear of the death of Mrs. Rena Abernathy, who died at the home of her son last Saturday night.  She was loved by all who lived here and knew her.

Clear Creek

Mrs. Joe Abernathy of Cartersville was buried in the Macedonia Cemetery Monday.  She had many friends and relatives of our community and they were grieved to hear of her death.  She was laid to rest by her husband, who was buried several years ago.  Rev. Bennett preached the funeral ceremony.  J.W. Jones was in charge of the arrangements.

[NOTES: Death certificate lists her as the daughter of Elisha Stroup.  Obituary and death certificate both lists her as being buried at Old Macedonia.  She and her husband are most likely buried in unmarked graves.]
