Mrs. Lena Kimbral Abernathy, 79, of Route 2, Cartersville, died at her home Tuesday night following a lingering illness.

She was a native of Bartow County and was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Abernathy; one brother, Dave Kimbral of Cumming; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.
