Death of Aged Woman Occurred on Stonewall Street in Cartersville

Mrs. Malinda Abernathy, 79 years of age, died Sunday at her home on Stonewall Street, and was buried Monday at 11 o’clock, after a funeral service at Macedonia Church, in the Stamp Creek district.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.G. Mitchell, while the arrangements were under the direction of G.M. Jackson & Sons of Cartersville.

She is survived by a foster son, Mr. Alfred Abernathy, a nephew, Mr. Jesse Wilson, who lives near Cartersville, and one sister, Mrs. N.L. Smith of Lilla, Georgia.

Mrs. Abernathy was a life-long resident of Bartow County and during her lifetime made a host of friends who will regret exceedingly to learn of her death.
