Stamp Creek Robert Akins Succumbs at Bishop Farm Robert Akins, a young man about 30 years of age, died on the place of Mr. James Bishop, at Kirk’s Mill, two and a half miles northeast of the city, last Saturday, of fever, with which he had suffered for about three weeks. He is survived by his mother and two children, his wife having died a year or more ago. His children have been at the home of their grandfather, Mr. Morgan Dellinger. Akins had been employed by Mr. Bishop on his farm. He was a member of the Odd Fellows’ order, and was buried with honors, the funeral being conducted Sunday under the direction of the Cartersville ledge. The remains were interred at Macedonia Church.
