“Brief Local Items.”

Mrs. S. C. Caldwell, who resides in the upper part of the county, near Fairmount, was stricken with paralysis Thursday, and her condition has been quite serious since. The whole of one side was paralyzed and she is unable to talk or take much nourishment. Mrs. Caldwell is a sister of Mr. John P. Adair, of this city, and is a teacher in the public schools of the county. Mr. Adair went up to see her on Friday.

The notice in the last issue of the Courant American of the death of “Mrs. S. C. Caldwell” should have been Mrs. S. C. Arnold, who was a sister of Mr. J. P. Adair of this city.
