BANKS - In Stockton, April 22, 1938 Nancy Banks, dearly beloved wife of N. P. Banks of Stockton, loving mother of Jerome, Jesse and Joseph Banks and Mrs. Nora Pickard of Stockton, sister of Bob Howell and John Howell of Georgia; a native of Georgia, aged 68 years.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm today from the Little Chapel of the Palms, 202 South California Street, Stockton. Committal was at Rural Cemetery, Stockton.

[NOTES: Husband is Neal Patrick Banks.
Nancy Howell Banks was the daughter of Rebecca Summey Howell.  Nancy and Neal were both born in Bartow County.  Nancy first married James Banks, then after his death married his brother Neal.  After 1900, they moved from Bartow County to Arkansas and Oklahoma before finally settling in San Joaquin County, California. 
She had four brothers; Richard, John, Robert, and William (aka Martin).  All of her brothers lived and are now buried in Bartow.]
