Mrs. Eli Barrett died on the 5th of February after several days of great suffering—and was interred on the 6th. Rev. Mr. Owens conducted the funeral services. She was a good woman, a devoted member of the Baptist church, lived and died a faithful Christian; all loved her. She was an affectionate wife and mother, and a dear friend to all. Kingston will miss her. We tender to our friend, the husband, our sympathies, as we have passed through the same sorrow.
