Mayor A. M. Puckett received the unwelcome intelligence Tuesday that his brother-in-law at Canton, Mr. W. M. Barton, was dead and immediately left for that town to be present at his funeral.  Mr. Barton had been in bad health for some time and his death was not unexpected.
