Death of a Little Girl

Last Saturday evening, after an illness of only one week, Nellie Bell, the twelve year old daughter of Mrs. Mary Bell, passed over the river into the great beyond, at her home on Erwin street.

Nellie was the baby in a large family of children, and was the pet of the household. She was a bright, healthy child up to a week before her death. From the first of her sickness she told those around her that she would soon die and join her father who had gone before. Just one week later, through all that medical skill could do to prolong her life, and faithful watches who sat by her bedside day and night anticipating her every wish. The death angel hovered near and claimed her for his own. It was a sad death and a sad blow to the family and relatives. Her remains were taken to Cassville on Monday morning and buried by the side of her father.
