Dewey Bennett, 62, of 178 Smiley Ingram Road, Cartersville, died Saturday, August 1, 1992 at his residence.

He was born Feb 28, 1930 in Gordon County, a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Woody Bennett.  He was a retired truck driver.

Surviving are two brothers, Jimmy Bennett, of Marietta, and Douglas Bennett, of Atlanta; a sister, Elizabeth Wages, of Lithia Springs; a special friend, Alvin Tant, of Cartersville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 3, from the chapel of the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Parnick Jennings officiating.  Interment followed in Old Macedonia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Hawkins, Tony White, Johnny King, Jeff McDaniel, Jim King, Donald Radford, Travis McDaniel and Dwayne Davis.
