“Ladds.”

Last Thursday week January 18 th a sad accident happened to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bennett. Little Walter, 3 year old son, in the absence of his parents, was thawing a ball of snow by the fire when his clothes caught fire. His screams soon brought assistance, and a bucket of water was dashed on him. Dr. Riddle, of Cartersville, was called in and administered such relief as was possible to the little sufferer, but on last Thursday the monster death overcame the physician’s skill, and his little spirit winged its flight to the realms of an unknown world. Just before death came to the little sufferer, he called to his mother and spoke of baptism and expressed a desire to be placed on his big bed.
