Mr. Blankenship

ROCKMART - Milton (M.W.) Blankenship, 76, Rockmart, died Wednesday in Rockmart.

He was born Jan. 18, 1906 in Bartow County and was a retired custodian in the local school system.  He was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara Mason Blankenship, Rome, two sons, Hugh Blankenship, Shannon, Travis Blankenship Sr., Rome; one daughter, Mrs Mildred Frances Tatum, Rome; one brother, William R. Blankenship, Stilesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Jenkins, Cartersville, Miss Sally Mae Blankenship, Stilesboro; six grandchildren, one great granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Prospect Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Cornwell, David Bright and R. C. Kimsey officiating.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.  Pallbearers include John and Winford Tatum, Travis Blankenship, Billy Patty, Lewis Chandler, Floyd Bragg Jr.
