Lonnie Richard Bohannon, 72, of 179 Center Road, Cartersville, died Monday, Dec. 14, at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 10, 1926 in Bartow County, son of the late Deby Bohannon and Velma Bearden Bohannon. Mr. Bohannon was employed by the City of Cartersville. He was a member of Center Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lillie Mae Bohannon.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Bohannon, Cartersville; one daughter, Carolyn Bohannon; one son, Tony Bohannon; one sister, Minnie Elrod; aunts, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Center Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Orton, Rev. Sammy Adams and Rev. Hubert Cabe officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
