“Over the County.”

Mr. J. W. Bowdoin, one of the oldest citizens of the valley, passed away at his home three miles north of town, on Sunday afternoon after an illness of nine weeks.  He was the last son of Rev. Joshua Bowdoin the old primitive Baptist minister, well known through this section many years ago.  The deceased was 66 years of age and leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn the loss of a kind husband and loving father.  His remains were laid to rest in the Bowdoin burying ground with services conducted by Rev. A. J. Buford.
