Feltonia. We are sorry to state that Mr. Brannon, of this community, is not expected to live but a few hours. We are sorry to hear the news as he is now in the bloom of manhood. ******************** May 7, 1908 In Memoriam. Eugene Brandon, who departed this life April 18, 1908 was twenty nine years of age. It seems so sad for a young man just in the bloom of manhood to be snatched away by death’s cold grasp. But God’s will be done, not ours. God saw best to take him out of his sufferings. He suffered so much with that dread disease, consumption. Eugene has lived a quiet peaceful life; he was a good boy and an affectionate brother, he was looked to as a guide by his younger brothers and sisters, having lost their father and mother years ago. Oh how they will miss him, although they have that blessed assurance that they will some day meet him in that great beyond, as he accepted Christ as his Saviour before he left them. He leaves three brothers and five sisters and a number of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at the Cassville Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Yearby, pastor of that church. His remains were laid to rest in Cassville cemetery. Mrs. K. C. Atkinson. |
