Mrs. E. D. Brock, Rome Buried Near Taylorsville

Mrs. E. D. Brock, age 83, passed away at her residence in Rome on Friday after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Brock was born in Polk County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Flanningan Atkins, and had been a resident of Rome for 42 years.

Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Hiram Keel, Dunellon, Fla; Mrs. John Hyde, Rome; three sons, Robert Broome, Cedartown; Eugene Broome, Rome; Edgar Broome, Savannah, 23 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Jennings Funeral Home Sunday at 1 p.m. with Elder R. W. Spunks and G. J. Davis conducting the rites.

Internment was in the family lot, in Cross Roads cemetery at Taylorville.
