Johnny Ray Brock, 39, of 11 Big Ditch Road, Adairsville, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Cartersville Medical Center, following a sudden attack.

He was born June 11, 1959 in Panama City, Fla., son of the late Bobby Ray Brock and Mary Ann Webb Brock, who survives.

He was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church, a welding supervisor for the Daiki Corporation, a member of the Southern Professional Bull Riders Association and the Goss Racing Team.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Brock, Feb. 6, 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie K. Duvall Brock of Adairsville, to whom he was married Sept. 6, 1986; daughter, Courtney K. Brock of Adairsville; mother, Mary Ann Webb Brock of Adairsville; sister, Joanna Corso of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandmother, Ruby Waldon of Adairsville; a goddaughter, Keylie Shaye Waldon of Armuchee; a niece and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m., from the Snow Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Penson, the Rev. Robert Chancey and the Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Kaye, Jeff Strickland, Shane Griffin, Buster Goss, Macky Moates, Roger Blakenly, Matt Blakenly, and Ricky Millshew.  They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m., Sunday.

Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the Daiki Corporation. They are asked to meet at the church at 1:45 p.m.

R. Dudley Barton and Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
