Our community was saddened by the death of Mr. James Brownlow, which sad event occurred last Friday morning the eighth day of the present month.

He was 76 years old, and was a consistent Christian being a member of the Baptist Church for a number of years. He was ready when the summons came, and is now in that blissful abode where no sickness nor sorrow ever comes.

"Blessed are the dead that died in the Lord, for they rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."
