Kingston. Mrs. C. C. M. Bruce, a good pure old lady, wife of Mr. C. C. M. Bruce, passed over the river of death at 5 a. m., January 22d, in the presence of a large assembly, Rev. C. A. Jamison, pastor of the Methodist church, conducted the services. She was in her 70th year, and had been blind for about 17 years. She bore her affliction without a murmur, saying it is the “Lord’s will.” She was a pure Christian and died in her faith. She leaves her husband, who is greatly afflicted, two daughters and two sons, at home and a daughter, Mrs. Shulor, of Gordon county, to mourn her loss. Mrs. Shulor came down to see her parents, and is now quite sick. |
