Rev. John W, Burke

who died in Macon last Saturday, was once a publisher at Cassville, having run the Cassville Standard before the war. He was licensed to preach while living there. He is well remembered by many of our older citizens as a man of piety and a cultured and solid citizen. He had gained considerable prominence in Macon as a business man and a worker in the Methodist church. He was 69 years old.
