Obituary.

In Cassville, on Sunday evening,  December 28th, 1856, after a lingering illness of several months, Mrs. SUSAN BURRIS, wife of Aaron Burris, in the 63d year of her age.

She was born and raised in Rutherford county, N. C.—was a member of the Methodist E. Church 35 years, and died as she had lived, in the faith of the Gospel of the Son of God—full of good works, she has gathered to her father’s, where, unlike this earth, sickness and sorrow, pain and death are felt and feared no more—there

--She is bathing her weary soul,
In seas of heavenly rest.
