DIED, in Cassville, on Friday, 4th inst., FRANCIS DEFOREST, only child of Mr. P. L. and Mrs. Georgianna BURROUGHS; aged 7 years, 4 months, and 16 days. Little Fannie was a dear and interesting child and was the idol of her parents’ kindest affection. How beautiful the thought, to remember that she was taken while a child; nothing to fear, nothing to dread, but all is calm and sublime. She was too pure for earth, and God, who loves little children, saw proper to take her home.--Weep not, she is at rest with Angels. Weep not as those who have no hope, Your little one with God doth dwell, ‘Twas Jesus blessed the little child, A Friend. |
