Mrs. Viola McCorkle Carson of 125 Woodland St., Rome, died Friday in a Rome hospital following an extended illness.

Survivors include her husband, Conyers Davis of Cartersville; two daughters, Mrs. Teola Blanchard and Mrs. Louise Greene both of Cleveland, Ohio; three sons, Rev. Robert L. Carson of Roem, Rev. Claudie Bufford Carson of Killeen, Tex. and George C. Carson of Cleveland, Ohio; step-mother, Mrs. Lila Gamble of Cartersville; one brother, Claudie B. McCorkle.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesdayat the New Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. C.L. Griffeth and C.L. Griffin officiating.  Interment will be in Gore Springs Cemetery.
