DIED of croup, in Taylorsville, Ga., Sept. 18th, 1872, DOLLIE PAULINE, eldest daughter of R. C. and M. A. Carter, aged two years, one month, and thirteen days.  After two days of intense suffering, little Dollie calmly passed away.  Bright and intelligent for one so young, she was a favorite with all.  Darling little one, no more will we look upon your sweet face, or listen to your innocent prattle.  Free from pain, early blessed, companion of angels, who would call thee back to the trials of earth?  Sorrowing parents, your little Dollie awaits you on the other shore.  Beautiful and unfading, she beckons you to her celestial home. Strive to meet her, and may God in his mercy guide you and reunite you to your lost one in a brighter world.
