Death of Mrs. R. E. Cason.

Mrs. Dr. R. E. Cason, who had been ill for some time, died of heart disease, at her home in this city, last Tuesday night, and was laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery yesterday afternoon.

The funeral was preached at the Baptist church by the pastor, Rev. W. H. Cooper, and was a most touching and timely discourse. In closing he referred in feeling terms to the Christian experience of the good woman who had gone to her Heavenly home. She had long ago given her heart to God, and the loved ones left behind have the sweet assurance that wife and mother is forever at rest.

She was a devoted mother and wife—devoting all her energies to making her loved ones happy. The sadly bereaved family have the sympathy of our community in this dark day of trial.
