Lois Lucille Chumbler, 96, of Sandtown Road, Marietta, died Monday, March 8, 1999. Mrs. Chumbler was born Oct. 19, 1902, in Bartow County, a daughter of the late Harvey Galloway and Savannah Dempsey Galloway, was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church in Cumming and a homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Chumbler, she is survived by two daughters, Grace Shirley of Cumming and Bobbie Minton of Calhoun; one son, Fred Chumbler of Helen; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Matthews of Cassville. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lucille Chumbler and Doris Camp and her grandchildren, Linda, Barry and Lannie Boles. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, from the chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Bud Boles officiating. Interment will follow in the Wofford's Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
