Prominent Man Dead.

Capt. John S. Cleghorn, a prominent citizen of Summerville, died from a stroke of apoplexy on the 25th of February.  Col. Cleghorn had been long identified with the important interests of his town, county and section, and by his manly qualities endeared himself to a large circle of friends who mourn his death.  He was lieutenant in the Thirty-ninth Georgia and made a brave and dutiful soldier.  He was commander of the Chattooga camp of Confederate veterans at the time of his death.

Capt. Cleghorn was a brother-in-law of Mr. L. S. Munford, of this city.
