Mrs. Mattie Mae Carson Conner, Rome Rte. 4, died unexpectedly Friday night.

Surviving are the husband, H.B. Conner, Sr.; one daughter, Miss Farri Bell Conner; one son, H.B. Conner, Jr.; the mother, Mrs. Viola Carson; the father, Eddie Carson; three brothers, the Rev. Robert Carson and George Carson, all of Rome, and Sp/4 Claude Carson of U.S. Army, stationed in Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Jones and Mrs. Teola Blanchard, of Cleveland, Ohio. A step-grandmother, Mrs. Lila Gamble of Cartersville, several aunts, uncles and other relatives also survive.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending the arrival of a brother from Germany. Wilder’s Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
