Lad Drowned.
Clifton Cowden, a Former Cartersville Youth, Drowned at Rockmart.

Clifton Cowden, 13 years old, son of Bartow Cowden, secretary of the Portland Cement Works at Rockmart, was drowned Sunday afternoon while bathing in a pool near Rockmart.  Twenty boys were bathing in the pool when the Cowden boy sank.

The body was recovered some time afterwards. –Rockmart special in Georgian.

Mr. and Mrs. Cowden formerly resided in this city, Mr. Cowden being general passenger agent for the old East and West railroad with headquarters here, but moved away shortly after the Seaboard secured control of the East and West.  Mr. and Mrs. Cowden have many friends here who sympathize with them in their bereavement.
