Mr. and Mrs. Bart Cowden went down to Piedmont, Ala., last Saturday to attend the funeral of Mr. Cowden’s brother, who died at that place on Friday night.  Mr. Cowden was stricken with his fatal illness during the Galveston storm, at which place he resided, and was brought to Piedmont hoping the change would benefit him.  His illness resulted in lockjaw from which he died.
