Center Youth Died Friday

On July 10th, 1931, God called from the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Cox a dear son and brother, and left a home sad and lonely, a place vacant which no one can fill.  He was nineteen years of age and a member of the Center Baptist Church.

He was in poor health for some time, but was seriously ill only a few days.

All the doctors and loved ones could do was done, but the poor, tired body gave way and the soul took its flight to that home in the skies.

The body was carried to the Macedonia Church for interment on Sunday and he was laid to rest in the Macedonia Cemetery.  John W. Jones had charge of the funeral arrangements.

He will be badly missed, not only in his home, but in the community.  He was a good boy, and much loved by all who knew him.

He leaves a father, mother and several brothers and sisters to mourn the idea of a son and brother.

[NOTES:  James Pressley Cox was the son of William M. Cox and Malissa (Lissie) Hite.]
