The friends of Mr. W. M. Cox will be sorry to learn of his death which occurred here Friday night at 8 o’clock.  Mr. Cox had been confined to his room and bed for about a year, at which time he received a fall that injured one of his hips.  Mr. Cox happened recently to a burn, a spark of fire flew out on him while sitting by the fire place and caught his clothes and before any of the family could reach him, he was burned very bad, he being a not able to help himself.  The burns were immediately dressed which seemed to alleviate the misery at once and he never seemed to suffer any more.  Through all his former suffering he was always patient and submissive to God’s will, and died peacefully.  Our sympathies go out to the bereaved family.  Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. A. H. Rice at the house and interment took place at Cassville.
