Mrs. Walter Crowe Passes Away

The community of New Hope and friends and neighbors throughout the county were shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of Mts. Walter G. Crowe.

Mrs. Crowe, who before her marriage was Frances Elizabeth Wig ley, had just celebrated with Mr. Crowe, their 50 th wedding anniversary on Dec. 16, and was apparently is good health. The occasion also marked her 75 th birthday.

Funeral services were held from the New Hope Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Price Turner, assisted by the Rev. Roy Brooks and the Rev. Lewis Gravett, officiating. Interment was in New Hope cemetery with the Pope Weens Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors included her husband; one son. Paul Crowe, Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Tome Davis, Tay-lorsville; Mrs. Berry Camp, Smyr na; Mrs. Walter Fednander, Pow der Springs, and Mrs. Emmett Crowe, Rome, Mrs. Loavanah Davis, Winston, Mrs. Esker Crowe, Dallas, and three half sisters. Mrs. Lawrence Moss, Dallas, Mrs. Vinnie Gee, Acworth, and Mrs. Joe Westbrook, of Dallas.
