Miss Alice Dawson Dies at Kingston Miss Alice Dawson, 66, died at her home in Kingston Sunday after a lingering illness. Her death, while not unexpected, came as a great shock to her relatives and friends. Impressive funeral services were conducted from Macedonia Baptist church at eleven o'clock with Rev. R. C. Kimsey officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Messrs. C. N. Dempsey, B. C. Wellington, Mark Carroll, Dallas Young, M. W. Blankenship and A. C. Tate. Cummings-Long-Owen funeral directors were in charge. Miss Dawson was a life-long resident of Bartow, and she was loved by a wide circle of friends for her many fine traits of character. Among relatives of Miss Dawson residing in Bartow are Messrs. F. C. Carroll, B. J. Dawson, Joe Dawson, Mrs. Oliver Tate and Mrs. Lilile Johnson. |
