Miss Alice Dawson, 66, died at her home in Kingston Sunday after a lingering illness.  Her death, while not unexpected, came as a great shock to her relatives and friends.

Kimsey officiating.  Interment was in the churchyard cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Messrs. C. N. Dempsey, B. C. Wellington, Mark Carroll, Dallas Young, M. W. Blankenship and A. C. Tate.  Cummings-Long-Owen funeral directors were in charge.

Miss Dawson was a life-long resident of Bartow, and she was loved by a wide circle of friends for her many fine traits of character.
