Tuesday Services For Mrs. Dawson, 77

Mrs. Callie May Calloway Dawson, 77, of Kingston Rte. 1, died Sunday afternoon in a Rome hospital following an attack suffered a short time earlier at her residence.

She was born in Bartow County May. 1, 1887, daughter of Garrett and Caroline Davenport Calloway, and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, B. J. Dawson, to whom she was married Feb. 14, 1902; five sons, Nick Dawson, Aragon Rte. 1, Willie B. Dawson, Rome, John Thomas Dawson, Kingston, Rte. 1, Lawrence Dawson, Kingston Rte. 1, and Clyde M. Dawson, Kingston Rte. 1; one brother, Carl Calloway of Marietta; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Kingston Baptist Church with the Rev. P. J. Baker and the Rev. Winston Barton officiating.  Pallbearers will include grandsons.

The body will be taken to the residence this afternoon to lie in state until Tuesday at 1 p.m. when it will be removed to the church.
