Joe T. Dawson Passes at Trion

Joe T. Dawson, 57, of near Trion, died at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clellah Brooks Dawson; one son, John L., serving with Air Forces in Italy; one daughter, Mrs. James Rackley, of Trion; two brothers, B. J. of Kingston, and R. L. Dawson, of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. D. J. Johnson, of Rome, and Mrs. O. W. Tate, of Kingston; and one grandchild, Peggy Rackley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Taylorsville, Route 1.  Rev. George Harris and Rev. Oglesby will officiate.  The Trion Department Store is in charge of the services.
