OBITUARY.
Cassville Lodge, No. 136,
Cassville, Ga., Sept. 21, 1852

“O death, stern archer, could not one suffice?”

Whereas, in the all-wise Providence of God, two worthy brother Masons have been called from time to eternity, to-wit: Brother WALTON WYLY and Brother WM. FAIN.  Therefore Resolved,
1st That this Lodge is both deeply bereaved and solemnly warned in this afflictive and mysterious event.
2d. That not only as Masons, but as citizens, they mourn the loss of these high-minded and honorable members of society.
3d. That most of all they heartily sympathize with the relatives of the deceased—especially the widows and the fatherless children; to whom may “God temper the winds as to the shorn lamb,” and furnish to them that comfort sweeter than human sympathy and the consolation he alone can give.
4th That above be entered upon the minutes of this Lodge and a copy of the same sent to the families of the deceased respectively.
Also that a copy be given to the editor of the Standard for publication.

D. M. Hood,
John J. Word,
Jno. W. Burke
