AUGUSTUS AKIN FOUTE,
Born, November 17, 1878. –Died, July 8, 1879.
Son of A. M. and Laura Foute.

Yes, this child died also.  Two bright beautiful babes have been given to and taken from these parents, who now must take comfort in Christian fortitude.  After one long month of suffering by the little fellow, the dreaded result came.  The former May Anderson, their first born, who died October, 1877, was ten months older and therefore naturally the ties were stronger, but they were the abler to bear the loss, it being the first.  Rev. R. B. Headden in conducting the beautiful services at “Oak Hill Cemetery,” Wednesday morning, related how David ceased to mourn after the death of his child, submitting to God’s will.

The following paragraph in a letter of condolence fitly expresses the sentiment of many, many friends of the family in this mysterious dealing by Him who gave life and has a right to take it to Himself:

“My heart is with you in this bereavement, God help you to be comforted knowing that
“It is well with the child.””
