Kingston.

It becomes my painful duty to chronicle the death of Mrs. L. P. Gaines, at midnight Saturday, August 4th.  She suffered for 22 days with typhoid fever.  She was well known in our community and was greatly beloved by all.  She leaves a devoted husband and five children and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss.  The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at 4 o’clock Sunday evening by Revs. Dyar and Tuggle, and at 5 o’clock the last sad rites were at the Kingston cemetery, where our friend and neighbor was consigned to the silent tomb.  We tender our warmest sympathies to the bereaved ones.
