Kingston. We had quite a sad funeral in Kingston at 4 o’clock p. m. on February 11th. The remains of Mrs. Dr. Gale, nee Miss Sorena Robertson, of Atlanta, were brought on the evening train, accompanied by her bereaved husband, Dr. Gale, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Robertson, the grief-stricken parents, and other relatives and friends, and conveyed to the cemetery, where, after very appropriate services by Rev. G. S. Tumlin, pastor of the Baptist church at this place, the body of the beautiful young wife was laid out of sight in the cold and silent tomb to await the resurrection morn. The deceased was a beautiful young woman, a devoted Christian, an affectionate wife and daughter, having given her heart and hand to Dr. Gale eight months ago, at the age of eighteen. The sympathies of our entire community are with the bereaved ones in this their hour of sorrow. |
