DEATH OF A GOOD CITIZEN.

We are pained to learn that Mr. J. L. Galt, a much esteemed citizen of Cherokee county, died on the 18th inst., at his home near Canton.  For many years Mr. Galt had been a consistent member of the Baptist Church, had long been a resident of the county, and was loved and respected by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.  He had been a great sufferer for a long time, but bore his afflictions with becoming patience and resignation.  Now “life’s fitful dream is over and he sleeps well.”  We tender the bereaved family our heart-felt sympathy and commend them to Him who is the friend of the orphan and widow.
