DEATH OF MR. GAY.

Mr. W. M. Gay. A young gentleman who had been engaged in business in this city for about eighteen months, died at the Choice Hotel yesterday evening about 5 o’clock.—Rome Commercial.

We very much regret to hear of the death of Mr. Gay, who was a model young man.  He was an adopted Georgian, whose citizenship would have reflected credit upon our State.  He was an exemplary man in every respect, and his deportment was such as to win the respect and confidence of all who came into contact with him either in business or socially.  Peace be to his ashes and green be the turf that rests upon his new made grave.
