Death of Abner Goodson.

This good citizen, loving parent and consistent church member died at his home, after a short illness, on Monday May 4th inst. Mr. Goodson was born in North Carolina in 1832, moved to Georgia quite young and has ever been a good neighbor, and kind friend. His loss will be sincerely felt in the community in which he lived. The remains were interred at the cemetery near his home, the Rev. S. J. Blackwell officiating.

Administrator’s Sale.
Georgia, Bartow County.

By virtue of an order of the Court of Ordinary of said county, will be sold before the court house door, in said county, on the first Tuesday in July next, the estate in reversion after the termination of the estate in dower of the widow of Abner Goodson, in the following described lands, to-wit: Forty-nine and one-half acres, more or less, as per return of the commissioners to assign dower, consisting of eighteen acres east side of lot 226, Stamp Creek forming western boundary of said 18 acres; also, 11 ½ acres, more or less, west side of lot 278; also, twenty acres, more or less, off of south side of 224 – all in the 21st district and second section of Bartow county, Georgia, being the land in possession of Mary A. Goodson, widow, or those holding under her.  Sold as the property of Abner Goodson, deceased, to pay debts.  Terms cash.
