Mr. Jimmy Gravley, 54, of 201 Parr Wade Rd., Cartersville, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born March 6, 1944, in Bartow County, son of the late Albert Gravley and Bessie Patterson Gravley. Mr. Gravley was a dye house operator for AS Haight.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, J.D. Gravley, Lewis Gravley and Jack Gravley; three sisters, Evelyn Jenkins, Barbara Chitwood and Lucy Gravley.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Ruth Holcombe Gravley; two sisters, Alva Lee Lanham, of Cartersville, and Jeanette Henson, of Adairsville; one brother, Alvin Junior Gravley, of Cartersville; mother-in-law, Bertha Holcombe; sister-in-law, Shirley Turner; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles McPherson and the Rev. Max Henson officiating.  Interment will be in Hayes Cemetery, Folsom.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.  At other times the family will be at 16 Oakdale Drive.

Pallbearers include, Stanley Henson, Steve Henson, Harvey Petty, Bruce Henson, Donald Lanham, Randy Gravley, Mark Bradley and Corkie Gravley.  They are asked to meet at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
