Recent Deaths in Cherokee.

Since the beginning of the new year, several of our friends in Cherokee have been called to their long home.

MRS. HAMMOND,

An aged lady, died at the residence of H. W. Collier, Esq., near Field’s Bridge, during the early part of the present month.  We had  but a limited acquaintance with the deceased, but have learned from those who knew her better, that she was a good, quiet and peaceable old lady, and much respected by her friends and neighbors.
