DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT OF DALTON.

We regret to chronicle the death, at Clarksville, Ga., on Monday last, of Mrs. N. J. Hanks, consort of our fellow-citizen, Col. J. A. R. Hanks.  She has been feeble in health for a long while, and was fully prepared for the “grim messenger,” having been a member of the Baptist Church for over a quarter of a century.  A better neighbor, a kinder woman to the poor, an humbler, purer Christian never lived.  She will be sadly missed from amongst us.  The grief-stricken husband has the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.  Her remains were brought to this place on Wednesday morning and interred by the side of her father and mother. – Dalton Citizen.
