Jessie M. Hawkins

Jessie M. Hawkins, 28 years old, a native of Woodland, died at the home of her (sic) sister, Mrs. J. M. Alexander, at White, after an illness of short duration.  Pneumonia was the immediate cause of his death.

The body was prepared for burial by John W. Jones, of Cartersville, and sent to Woodland Wednesday for interment in the family lot there.  Mr. Hawkins was a member of the Methodist church, and a young man of fine character.

He is survived by three brothers, Douglas Hawkins, of Buena Vista, Clovis and Edward Hawkins, of Macon and four sisters who are Mrs. W. M. Alexander, Mrs. G. C. Alexander, Miss Fannie Lou Hawkins and Miss Florence Hawkins, of White.
