“Affairs in the City.”

Col. J. K. Haynes, of Rome, died very suddenly while visiting one of his daughters at Cassville on Wednesday of last week. He and his family were citizens of Canton in 1888, during which time they had charge of the McAfee (Pickett) house. Mr. Amos Keith married his daughter, Miss Ovel. Col. Haynes was a progressive citizen and had many friends among the readers of the Advance. We tender our condolence to the bereaved.
